O2 prepaid customers can contact their friends and family even when they have insufficient credit. From June 1, 2009, they can use the new O2 Ozvi se (Call Me) and O2 Dobij mi (Recharge Me) services. The O2 Ozvi se service sends an SMS request asking the receiver to call the sender and O2 Dobij mi asks the receiver to recharge the sender's credit. Both services are absolutely free of charge.
"With the launch of these two new services we are facilitating needs of our customers, who wish to have the opportunity to make urgent calls when they have run out of credit," says Adrian Garrett, Marketing Director for Prepaid Services, Telefónica O2, adding, "Both services are an ideal solution for everyone, especially children, who can get in touch with their parents even when they don't have enough credit, or request their parents to recharge their prepaid card. Telefonica O2 is adding value by providing these services free of cost and they are easy to use."
O2 Ozvi se
The free O2 Ozvi se service is intended for all O2 prepaid customers who don't have enough credit to make a call. To use it, they simply enter the keyword *144*X#, where X is the receiving party's nine-digit phone number without spaces, and press the Call button on their mobile. The system receives the request and immediately sends the receiving party an SMS (in both Czech and English) with the text: "The sender of this message does not have enough credit and asks that you call them back." The caller then simply has to wait for the person they'r e trying to reach to call them back. It is possible to make a maximum of ten such requests in one calendar month. The service can be used in all Czech mobile networks.
O2 Dobij mi
If a customer does not have enough credit to make a call, they can use the O2 Dobij mi service to ask a friend or family member for a credit recharge. To use it, they simply enter the keyword *145*X#, where X is the receiving party's nine-digit phone number without spaces, and press the Call button on their mobile. The system receives the request and immediately sends the receiving party an SMS (in both Czech and English) with the text: "The sender of this message does not have any credit and is asking you for a recharge." Then the receiver can recharge the caller's credit in any of the standard ways, such as through an O2 fixed line or postpaid line on their monthly bill, at automated tellers, through internet banking, or through Sazka terminals. The service can be used in all Czech mobile networks. It is possible to make a maximum of ten such requests in one calendar month.
