O2 is making calling even more pleasant for its customers. If the person being called doesn't have a signal, or their phone is turned off, there's no need to worry. When the number being called is available, it now receives SMS notification through the O2 Na příjmu (O2 Reception) service. All O2 mobile customers can use this service absolutely free of charge.
"The O2 Na příjmu service is another handy aid that complements several services like Missed Calls, Voice Mail, and O2 Spojovatelka (O2 Operator). While the O2 Spojovatelka service helps customers in situation when they are trying to call an engaged number, O2 Na příjmu works when a customer can't get through due to the fact that the person they are trying to call has no signal, as is the case when they are in the metro or their phone is off or its battery is dead. Customers no longer have to worry about forgetting about redialing the person they're trying to reach. Both new services inform them punctually, and they are completely free of charge," says Jan Karas, Director for Segment Marketing, Telefónica O2 Czech Republic.
O2 Na příjmu gives callers the chance to see whether the phone number they've called is available, or has a signal, for free, without requiring them to redial the number. They get this information via SMS messages. The message is sent to the caller once the number becomes reachable for up to seven days after an unsuccessful attempt to call. The service is activated automatically for all new customers; O2 will activate it gradually for existing customers, or customers can activate it themselves by sending an SMS with the keyword NAPRIJMU A to the phone number 999235. To deactivate the service, they simply send an SMS with the keyword NAPRIJMU D to the same phone number.
The only condition for the service to function is its activation on both sides; that is for both the caller and the person receiving the call. O2 Na Příjmu also functions when the receiving party has turned on call forwarding when they don't have access to their Voice Mail, Missed Calls, Incoming Call Signalization, or O2 Spojovatelku.
The initial statistics pertaining to service usage illustrate the practicality of the service. A total of 40% of customers use information about the accessibility of the numbers they are calling and call back or send messages after getting this information.
