In May, O2 is offering its customers new form of traffic reports for the highways, main roads, regions, and towns of its customers. An innovative service now enables them to receive messages that pertains solely to the actual route they are travelling. All O2 customers can order it through the O2 Active WAP portal, where they enter their planned route with one or two time intervals. They will then get the latest information about accidents, detours, radars, traffic jams, and closures at the right time, in the right place. Until the middle of the summer, they will also be able to enter a contest for a Chevrolet Cruze four-door sedan.
Users will now also be able to choose between two simple payment models, with which they will always know exactly how much they will be paying for service usage. The offer features a daily or monthly license that gives customers access to the ordering interface, route selection, and time intervals. All parameters can then be adjusted flexibly for the entire duration of license validity.
A daily license, which is intended primarily for occasional drivers and routes driven during one day, costs CZK 19 with VAT and is not prolonged automatically after it expires. A monthly license which is especially beneficial for frequent drivers and long-term service usage, costs CZK 49 with VAT. In this case the license is prolonged automatically for the following month. It can be deactivated very simply through the WAP ordering interface.
Contest for a Chevrolet Cruze
From May 1 to July 31, 2009, customers can visit www.dopravaO2.cz to enter a contest for a Chevrolet Cruze four-door sedan. The only conditions for contest entry are the activation of a monthly license for traffic reports, answering three knowledge-based questions regarding the vehicle, and a guess for the question " How many SMS messages with traffic reports were sent in the O2 network during the period of January 1 to July 31, 2008?" The person who meets all contest conditions is the winner. In the event of more than one correct answer for the guessing part of the conditions, the first person who answered will be declared the winner.
