Telefónica O2 announces Michal Urválek as the new Executive
Director, Human Resources. His appointment comes into effect on
August 1, 2009. As a Member of Executive Committee Telefónica
O2, he will be responsible for the management of the Human
Resources Division in the Czech Republic and for execution of
the human resources strategy of Telefónica Europe.

Angalda
Michal Urválek (1963) graduated at the Faculty
of Law at Charles' University in Prague. He is coming to
Telefónica O2 from his position as Head of Human Resources for
RWE CZ Group, where he also held Board functions in sales and
services organizations. He spent several years working in media
and communications in the Czech Republic and Great Britain. He
has devoted most of his professional life to personnel
management, and has done so for firms in the information
technology, telecommunications, and energy sectors.
