There is finally a tariff without monthly fees and without a contractual commitment on the market. It is called O2 ZERO and, in addition to uniform rates for texting and calling numbers in other networks, it has a new feature that enables customers to keep their costs completely under control. They can set the amount they want to spend on calling and, as soon as their selected limit is approaching, they are informed via SMS. The O2 ZERO tariff will be launched on July 1, 2009.

"There are still people who worry not only about signing contracts, but also about paying monthly fees. These days, they find it especially important to keep their costs under control. Therefore, we have created a tariff that reflects these exact needs. It is also completely comprehensible and simple, so everybody can understand it," says Jan Karas, Director for Segment Marketing, Telefónica O2, adding, "O2 ZERO complements the popular O2 NEON tariffs, which offer unlimited calling, perfectly."

The O2 ZERO tariff is very understandable. The customer is not limited by times of the day and does not pay any monthly fees. Rates are set in such a way that they pay the same for calling and sending SMS and MMS messages to numbers in all networks, at any time. Customers do not have to concern themselves with when and which network they are calling, texting, or sending MMS messages to - the rate remains the same. One minute of calling to all networks is CZK 5.90 with VAT and an SMS message to any network costs CZK 1.90 with VAT. For an MMS they pay CZK 5.90 with VAT.

With the O2 ZERO tariff, the customer has a precise overview of their costs. If they want to spend a specific amount on mobile services, they can set a financial limit. When they are close to this limit, they are informed via SMS. After reaching the limit, the customer is not limited in any way and can still call and send messages. According to their needs, they can flexibly adjust the limit.
