From February, customers who subscribe any O2 Neon tariff with Internet on Your Mobile can get a smarthone for one Czech crown. Tariffs starting at CZK 300 per month, i.e. O2 NEON SMS or O2 NEON S and O2 Internet on Your Mobile Start for CZK 150, come with a Samsung Galaxy Y for CZK 1. The listed price of the handset is CZK 2,895.
"More than 60 percent of buyers now opt for a smartphone; and a majority also activate O2 Internet on Your Mobile, as they cannot enjoy the benefits of a smart phone without a smart network. Nowadays, the prices are no longer prohibitive, quite the opposite," said Jiří Dvorjančanský, Marketing Director, Telefónica Czech Republic. "Smartphones for one crown from O2 are also promoted in our advertising - we want people to know that with O2 they can enjoy the benefits of a smart network through their smartphones, without having to purchase expensive equipment."

Tariff O2 NEON L+ for CZK 950 per month in combination with O2 Internet in Your Mobile Start qualifies for Samsung Galaxy Y Pro (listed price: CZK 4,095) and LG Optimus Hub (listed price: CZK 4,195) - also for one Czech crown. With higher-end tariffs, customers can choose from an even broader portfolio of smartphones priced at CZK 1.
Nokia Lumia - the legend returns
From the beginning of February, the O2 distribution network presents a range of Nokia Lumia smartphones with the operating system Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. A high-end smartphone with a unique design, Nokia Lumia 800 is available to O2 customers for as little as CZK 5,395 if they activate O2 Neon L+ (CZK 950 per month) with O2 Internet in Your Mobile (CZK 300 per month). Nokia Lumia 800 usually retails for CZK 11,995. With the same combination of tariff subscriptions, Nokia Lumia 710 will go for only 2,595, which is quite a difference from the listed price of CZK 7,495.
"At the end of 2011, more than 60 percent of our customers had a Nokia phone, so it makes sense that they would consider a familiar brand when they replace. Now they can get a top-of-the-class smartphone with an operating system that will stand the test of time," says Jiří Dvorjančanský.
