O2 and Samsung unveiled a co-branded store in the shopping centre Metropole Zličín (Řevnická 121/1, Praha 5) today. In addition to the regular range of O2's products and services, a part of the floor is reserved for the products of Samsung. On 9-10 February, visitors can look forward to Samsung Galaxy Nexusmobile phone for the special price of CZK 9,995, or they can enter a competition forSamsung Galaxy Y, plus anybody who buys a Samsung phone will automatically get 3 months of free internet for their mobile for free.
"Samsung mobile phones have gradually built up a position as the bestsellers in our portfolio. Samsung Galaxy SII, Galaxy Mini, Galaxy Y or Galaxy Ace are among the bestselling devices," explains Jan Karas, Director for Retail, Telefónica Czech Republic, adding that "Samsung is now a leader among mobile phone brands. Samsung phones are fully internet-enabled - and internet is what we do really well. So whether you are looking to hook up a mobile phone, tablet, notebook or even TV by Samsung, O2 has the right solution."
On 9 and 10 February, visitors to the O2 store in Metropole Zličín can pick up Samsung Galaxy Nexus for the special price of CZK 9,995. The listed price of this device is CZK 13,595. Twenty five of Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be waiting on either day for the quickest grabbers. There will also be a competition for Samsung Galaxy Y; it is easy - just answer two simple questions and with some luck the prize is yours after the evening draw. Plus, anybody who buys any Samsung phone during the two days, will get three months of free internet for their new mobile.
The O2 store opened in Metropole Zličín in July 2009. About one hundred thousand customers come to visit every year. The preparation of the section of the floor dedicated to Samsung did not disrupt the store operations - all work was done outside the opening hours.
Telefónica Czech Republic now operates a network of 171 O2 stores. In 2011, thirty new franchises were added to the network. "The O2 retail network is designed in a way to be accessible for all people in the Czech Republic. Anybody is welcome to drop in to buy a phone or activate a service, get some advice or configuration assistance," notes Jan Karas.
